2007 Palisade User Conference Asia-Pacific Draws Record Crowd

Palisade is pleased to announce the success of its second Asia-Pacific User Conference.  Held in Sydney on 13-14 September, 2007, the event attracted nearly double the delegation as the inaugural 2006 conference.  Participants included practitioners, academics, and consultants from across the Asia-Pacific region.

“A lot of attendees heard about our conference from colleagues,” noted Palisade Asia-Pacific Managing Director Mark Meurisse.  “The word is spreading – the Palisade User Conference is becoming the forum for quantitative risk and decision analysis.”

Attendees had the opportunity to try the soon-to-be-released @RISK 5.0, the leading risk analysis software for Microsoft Excel.  Delegates used this all-new software hands-on, and experienced its dramatic new interface, graphs, and model sharing capabilities.  A keynote speech was delivered by one of the leading experts on risk analysis in the Pacific Rim, Dr. Dale Cooper.  Firsthand industry case studies were presented in sectors ranging from property to agriculture, and from energy to finance.  Furthermore, delegates spent time with Palisade’s top software engineers in scheduled roundtable discussions, gained modelling insights with hands-on software training, and networked with other decision-makers. 

The Sydney conference was the second of a global series of User Conferences from Palisade in 2007 that commenced with an event in London, England in April, and includes stops in Miami in October and San Jose, Costa Rica in November.  The Costa Rica event is all in Spanish for Palisade’s Latin American customers.
